14 Week Update

Ok, I am writing this about a month later so I don't know how much I will remember.

I thought I was starting to feel better since I was able to do so many things when Fredrik's family was in town. However, I got hit really bad with my nausea again soon after. Since I lost another pound visiting my doctor today, she asked if I was ready to try some medication to help. I eagerly took her up on the offer so I got prescribed Raglan. It does seem to help but it makes me supremely tired.

Everything else checked out fine and we listened to the heartbeat which I think was about 140 or 150 bpm. I was also given the okay to schedule an ultrasound at 18 weeks. BTW, this is very confusing because my doctor is counting one week ahead and I am counting via my ultrasound date. More later!

Toad & Lapdog 2007

Another summer and another weekend of Toad and Lapdog! I went and bought tickets for the KMTT Mountain Music Festival on the 11th and I took my friend Andrea who is my Toad buddy. The vibe at the show was just weird and the boys had an off night I think because of it. Unfortunately, there weren't that many Toad fans there and the type of crowd was older and were probably more interested in the beer garden than some of the music. Toad played 3rd in the lineup so we skipped the opening act to eat some food. We had some pretty decent Indian cuisine and it was nice to have Andrea to enjoy it with. Then we saw the next act which was pretty decent even though I can't remember his name. I still enjoyed Toad's act but Todd seemed to have guitar problems through half the show. I am glad they loosened up but I am not sure it was worth the price we paid to see them. Oh well, the things I do for my boys. :)

Today was the show at the Stillaguamish Festival of the River in Arlington. It was awesome as usual! I took the whole household and our Swedish guests to the festival and I am glad they were up for it considering that we just had returned from a week at the Oregon coast. Davin enjoyed the little bouncy house that they had set up. We also had a great Salmon lunch as usual too which included a nice big slab of salmon, sweet corn on the cob, a juicy slice of watermelon, a roll and a soft drink. It was a great deal for only $10. :) I also got two henna tattoos ... one on my hand and one on my ankle. They came out really cool looking.

Of course, the concert of Lapdog and Toad in the same day was the best! It was a really great day and they all played really great. Much better than the day before so I think there is just something special about Stilly. Oh, my friend Andrea was there too with some friends so I was glad she kept me company at the front of the stage. It was fun seeing people that I see every year at Stilly who are all hard core fans. I also had a bunch of other playgroup moms who showed up too but I was too busy enjoying the show to visit too much. I was glad to see them even if it was brief. Anyway, at the end of the show they signed stuff and I forgot something to sign so they talked me into signing my preggo belly ... or at least the shirt I was wearing.

I did miss seeing Joe and Albie this year and I bet if they were around we would have gone out and had more fun. I guess Joe was tied up with his restaurant and Albie broke something so he couldn't play. Next year guys!!

Everett Boeing Tour

We now have family from Sweden in town staying with us and they arrived last Monday. We are having a lot of fun catching up and seeing them play with Davin. So, we have Fredrik's mom (Monika) and her husband (Jan) plus Fredrik's brother (Erik) and his girlfriend (Anna) staying with us so we have quite a full house. We did the usual Seattle tour yesterday when we went to the Space Needle and the Pike Place Market. That was fun so today we decided to take it a bit easy and head out to the Everett Boeing Tour since that was the one thing that they wanted to do.

I am glad we did it but I am not sure I would do it again unless we have more out of town guests that want to go. It is just a little bit weird for me since the airplane hangers have been a normal part of my life for as long as I have lived in Everett. It was pretty neat to go see them up and close and personal. They are MUCH bigger than your brain can possibly handle. It is one thing to drive by the hangers and see how tiny a 747 looks inside it but it is another thing to be inside it! People are very tiny and almost ant like inside.

The short movie we saw before the tour started was interesting but it was very cold. We also could have explored the museum a bit but we were more interested in eating and heading somewhere else to enjoy the nice weather. We ended up at Mukilteo Beach and looked at the tide pools and just enjoyed walking around. One of these days I will post photos....
